I just had a y pipe installed after the cat with 2 v force mufflers leading to each side ....well i was wondering if anyone knows if its possable to remove the cat and not have to worry about the o2 sensors. my little one is in desprate need to sound a bit more agressive like its bigger brothers and sisters any help would be greatly appreciated.<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">
never heard of V force...are they glass packs??
its hit or miss with the codes! You just have to go for it and see if it throws anything. If it does you can go to www.thefastman.com and get the o2 sim!

V force are not glass packs go to www.flopro.com/VForce.htm it will tell ya all about them . They are pretty much like a flowmaster but cheaper and they sound pretty good .
Removal of the cat should only cause the check engine light to come on. It should have no ill effects on how the truck idles, runs, drives or performs. If the check engine light bothers you, you can get an O2 simulator from Jegs.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">
I have a question about the O2 simulators. What will happen if your ratios arent right and you have a simulator on the 3rd O2 sensor. I am looking to mess with the exhaust on my durango but i am sketchy about tweeking out the O2 sensor.
The 3rd O2 sensor is only there to let the computer know that the catalytic converter is bad and to turn on the check engine light. The O2 sensors before the catalytic converter are the important ones that tell the computer your A/F ratio.<edited><editID>71ROADRUNNER</editID><editDate>37966.2285416667</editDate></edited>
why mess with all of that just replace the cat(s) with high flow ones and then your legal for one and don't have to mess with the sim o2 sensors, or what about when you have to go take it for emissions and the cat is bad and you wouldn't of know.</P>
Just my opinion though. </P>
You'll get better flow with no restriction then you do when the cat is there.</P>

I cant tell where one sentence starts or ends!
Get yourself some dumps. Geta Volant intake, long tube headers, high flow cats, mufflers, and 2.5" piping. Have it dump just after the cab. Your truck will sound really good and get a very nice power gain. Plus you will still be legal.</P>
