WOW. Can I have one. hehe.

ORIGINAL: 2004 Hemi Quad

I'm about to buy a Patriot Blue Jeep Liberty Limited for my wife for Christmas, it is totally loaded including the sunroof. I have heard alot of good things about it. One of my coworkers bought one about a year ago and other than the rear brakes squealing on him ( 4 wheel discs ) and city gas mileage ( about 17 mpgs ) he has raved about it. I will be getting a smoking sweet deal from the dealer I bought my truck from...it helps that the sales manager's wife works with my wife...lol and I didn't even know that when I bought my truck from that dealer.

I drove a V6 Liberty recently and was very very disapointing. My Cherokee that I had at the time had much more power and felt more substantial, despite weighing less. I also knew Cherokees had know offroad prowess whereas the liberties I havent even seen offroad.

Maybe the Diesel would be better. Thats what we wanted, but they said they wouldnt be available for awhile.

as a once proud owners of a 02 liberty limited i can tell that DC did a dam good job designing and buiding this new jeep. i lifted mine with a 3" skyjacker lift and 32" tires and did alot of wheelin. in the 2.5 years of ownership i had no issues. you cant go wrong if you decide to go KJ

liberty is by far not considered a uber offroad rig. you have to do alot to it with out screwing it up. For example, the front part of the frame is very week and needs reinforced steel add'd if you plan to offroad alot and run big tires.

when i say offroad, im not talking driving threw a corn field or an occsional mud puddle, im talking rock crawling and rated trails.

if you dont believe me, go read the pirate4x4 boards.
