Default Got the pulsing lights to stop....new issues.

Hey everyone! Here's the rundown -

1999 Cherokee Sport. Inline 6 Cylinder.

Last week I noticed that my lights (dash, exterior, etc.) were pulsing. After discussing the issue with some jeep friends it was dedused that my alternator was shot.....which it was....badly. Today I installed the new alternator. It stopped pulsing, but now I have another problem. Whenever I rev the motor the lights (again...dash, exterior, etc.) get brighter. Also, when I stop/idle the voltmeter drops; sometimes it'll drop all the way and the 'Check Guages' light will come on. So what's the deal??? I'm getting slightly frustrated. Any help or information anyone has would be awsome! Thanks!

The Voltage regulator is probably bad. Pick one up at any auto parts store. They're only a couple of bucks.

After giving that some further thought. The regulator could be in the PCM on those. You'll have to check. But regardless, the good news is that you can have that fixed without having to replace the PCM.

So you got that going for you...Which is nice.

my ramcharger was doing the EXACT same thing..turns out i had a ground wire that was damaged off of the alternator...check to see the condition of the wires and ground surfaces..

sidewayz...you should look into getting that oil leak in the picture fixed..
