Default Commander lift question???

Ok guys I am a member of the Dodge forum but I have always been a Jeep nut! I have had many Wranglers so I feel I do understand the Jeep thang, so with that here is my question. My wife really likes the Commander but she does not like the way it looks with the small tires that it has. She wants a lift kit put on it, nothing huge but somewhere around 2.5" would be good. What size tires would fit this? She really likes the larger tires but not the huge rim look and she also wants this to be off road capible (sniff sniff I really love this woman[sm=smiley27.gif] !) so she wont get stuck in a small rut on a dirt road with the stock stuff. Has anyone had any experence with the lift kits for the commanders and with bigger tires? Any info would be great guys. THANKS!

you can get a simple 2.5"spacer lift with shocks like this one for about $300. http://www.rocky-road.com/commander.html

or you can get really involved and get a 4", but they run $1000 and up. then you would have to regear and all that.

if she just wants a lil bigger tire and mild off road use, i would do the spacer lift.
