Damn, I just realized, we've been rambling in the PIC Thread! Gonna take this conversation out of a Pic Sticky and give it it's own thread...

I traded my '98 in on a '02 Chevy Z71 when I lived in a relatively small town (maybe 8k people) in Georgia. They gave me way too much for it (the GM had a crush on my sister in law) and it sat on that lot for eight or nine months. Don't know how much of a loss they ended up selling it for.
Then within about two or three weeks after it was gone off the lot, I saw it at the dealership (was also one of two body shops in town), front end smashed, passenger side smashed. Seems the guy who bought it went out to the river to play the 1st weekend he had it. Lost control on a clay bank, went down a steep hill off the side of the dirt road until he abruptly met a rather old stand of rather large pine trees.
Even though it hadn't been mine for a while, I had modded that thing myself, put the body lift in myself, it broke my heart, I actually wanted to kick the guys a$$!!!

Good deal! Even though the automatic tranny is that things Achilles' Heel, it didn't sound like a tranny issue, then when you had the code deciphered, I knew...
