well the way i see it, you have some choices.
1. engine swap, best choice for power and since you prolly have 4.10 gearing if you go with a 4.0 you will have major low end and very poor MPG and a lower top speed by a good bit. you will be able to go about 80-90 at redline. however this will be a beast off road. now with that engine and gearing you will have no problems running 33-35" tires and maintain factory 4.0 performance and RPM's at cruise. you will need a lift for tires over 30-31"s

2. get smaller tires and keep engine, tranny, gearing stock. say 205's

3. re-gear to about 4.56 or lower(higher numericaly). this will force your motor to rev higher where the 2.5 makes its power (higher rpm's) your gas mileage will suffer. consult gear manufacturer for exact gear ratio. tell him what you want to accomplish and they will hook you up with the right numbers.

4. keep your engine, tranny, tires and gear combo as is and put a K+N air filter and a high flow cat and a cherry bomb muffler and do what ever you can to that powerplant to make more power.
