Default Changing crank reluctor ring on Dodge 2004 4.7

Please tell me how to change the crankshaft reluctor ring on a dodge 2004 4.7 engine. I am trying to replace my 1999 Jeep 4.7 engine with a 2004 dodge engine. I have been told the crank and cam reluctor rings must be changed. Please help. Don

I just did this, i put a jeep 4.7 in an 04 durango. The cam reluctor is on the right (passenger) head. So you will need to get the front cover off but you ONLY need to release the chain on that side. The crank reluctor is in the engine attached to the back of the crank. So trans out oil pan off, you might be lucky enought to change the gear through the back otherwise, rods and mains unbolted, crank out, change gear.
