Jeeps The tough off road capability of ANY Jeep model from the Wrangler to the fully loaded Grand Cherokee keeps this cousin of Dodge the king of every hill.

Never did like the gray plastic on the Jeep! At least with the Overland I didn't have the cladding on the sides.

Started Plasti-Dippin' the gray plastic today with the rear bumper step pad.

The front grill under the bumper and the rock rails will follow, but not just yet. I have a front receiver hitch coming and will do them when I remove the front bumper to install the receiver.

Before pic, with the gray cladding:

Yeah, I wish I had thought to take a BEFORE pick. That step pad was scratched to hell and was actually a cross between gray and a very dirty, bleached out white...

Very nice. Did you have to buy another can or is that still from the can I left over there? Keep it up man it seems to be covering very nicely.

Second can I picked up yesterday. The one left over from your CAI had enough for the little step bumper pad and about half of the first rock rail. I should have enough in that second can to get the front under grill done when I drop the bumper for the receiver...

Oh and a little FIY, I had a spot on the step pad where the plastic bottom of my golf bag rubbed on it while unloading the bag from the back of the Jeep yesterday, A FULL 28 HOURS AFTER APPLYING IT! Skinned about a 1/8" wide by 3/4" piece of the plasti right off! I don't think this stuff is as tuff as guys are saying!

So when I did the rock rails I touched that up. I washed that step pad well with soap and water and then even used an alcohol prep pad on it. So I decided to hit the rock rails with a coat of adhesion promoter to see if that might have better results.

The truck's lookin' good. I'm impressed with the way this stuff sprays and adheres.

OK, so I am NOT a patient person. What can I say?

My luck, I'll scratch the sh*t out of it pulling the bumper for the receiver hitch this weekend...
