Default Quick Jeep question

I have a quick question regarding Jeeps, and I don't want to join a Jeep forum for one question. I figured I would ask here as I am sure there are some Jeep owners. One question, one answer, then the thread can be deleted.

Will rims and tires that fit a 2008 Grand Cherokee, fit a 2000 Grand Cherokee?

Thanks!

Bolt pattern on a 5 lug 2000 is 4.5, the pattern on a 2008 is 5.0 I THINK??? I went through this disaster when I was given free wheels from a cherokee for my former wrangler. The pattern did not align up. I hope maybe somebody with more expertise will chime in, but I THINK I am in the ballpark. You do have 5 lug correct?

Yes they will fit, WJ and WK Grand Cherokees share the same 5 on 5" bolt pattern... The ZJ Grand Cherokees ('93-'98) had a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern...

Thanks guys, I didn't realize there was a Jeep section, I guess I didn't look hard enough.

Good to hear they will fit. My wife is considering trading DOWN from an 08 to her brothers old 00, or 01. Whatever it is.

I just double checked myself based on 2010 TRX4s experience, but I have a WJ and had another one that was the ex's daily driver and know I put 5 on 5" wheels on them.
Here is a good reference for Jeep wheel fitment:

Hammer is right. I knew there was a monkey in the wrench somewhere. I was somewhat in the ballpark ,I was given wheels and did not fit my wrangler. I knew the Cherokee vs. Grand Cherokee has different patterns. It is hard to remember, it was a while ago.

Now you don't need to join a jeep forum. Because you already belong to one!
