Default P0204 code on 5.2. Help!

1998 JGC TSi 5.2 magnum.
Day 1:
MIL tripped code randomly.
Swapped #4, #2 injectors. Code followed back to #4.
Checked resistance on injectors all within specs.
Seen that # 4 plug has bare wires.
Pulled harness.
Stripped back and replaced the #4 plug.
Taped up and reinstalled.
Fired up. Same code.
P0204
Checked voltage. Have voltage on 12v feed AND on pcm driver wire.
Stripped back harness all the way back to pcm plug.
Wires all good.
Am I missing something?
How do I check if pcm lost #4 driver?
Day 2:
Pulled harness. I had the #4 injector wire in my hand from the injector plug to the pcm plug. Solid wire. Pulled the pcm plug apart, good solid end.
Only thing in the circuit is the #4 injector driver in the pcm.
Is there really any reason to pry open the pcm and look?
Or should I see if I could find a pcm to throw on to check before I sink 199 for one off eBay?
Reading around, people changed the tps to fix multiple codes. Mine is just 1 so I am thinking that I would be throwing money away.

Try clearing the memory out of the pcm then see if it comes back. Take the terminals off the battery and touch them together, This will clear the memory.

I have a scan tool. Reset the code. Cranked and it comes back. It keeps coming back. IT WON'T GO AWAY!!!!!
Sorry.
Can a dealer or an auto electric shop check to see if #4 driver is open?

Scan tools don't always work, You need to do a hard memory dump.

I did as you said. Yes it cleared it. But it came back. I went and got a Noid lite. Shows no pulse.
I have confirmed a pcm.
New question. Where is the most economical way to go? I seen one one eBay. 199 programmed and a life time warranty they swear you will never need.

Not sure what years need to be programed. I know up to 96 you don't need to have them programed. Might want to check some of the parts houses locally and see what they are asking.

Get one from a local parts store. You won't have to mess with some joker on the internet if it goes bad.

same exact situation on my 01 Durango with a 360 earlier this year. same cylinders and codes and all. I wound up finding a place to rebuild my computer, #4 injector driver was toast within the brain, they said they also resoldered another board that was "loose" an as they claimed a common issue on these computers. cost me like $130-ish.
