Installing 5.2 and auto trans from 99 Dodge Durango into Yj Jeep. Is there a way to wire trans overdrive and lock converter the same as the factory did in Durango. This will be my 16yr old sons first vehicle and I dont want to rely on him to push a button evertime he needs to use overdrive or unlock converter. 😊 Thanks in advance

 

That's gonna be complicated... Ideally, you would simply use the durango wire harness, and PCM, and everything would 'work'... Problem becomes, the way everything ELSE works on those systems. Easiest might be finding a donor 96 or 97 dodge full sized truck that had the 5.2 and auto, and grab the PCM and wiring harnesses from that. Would still need to do some adaptation to the wiring in the Jeep..... but, no clue how complicated that would be. What year jeep is it?
