Default 2007 Jeep Compass

quick backgound, i work for roush industires testing new vehicles. one of the ones we just got in is the jeep compass. before we got it, it was doing its cold weathet testing, and was covered in canvas, and about a week after we received it, jeep gave us the ok to take off the canvas, but it still has the blacked out wheels, and primer paint job. the particluar model ive been driving is a 2.7l v6 with dual vvt, a 5 speed manual gearbox, and awd with "off road" mode. the one that is coming out in 07, is only a 2.4l i-4, with the caliber cvt2 tranny with a fake 4x4 mode. i havent taken it off road yet, but so far, its a fairly good vehicle. clutch is light, shifts smooth. my only complaint so far is the shifter feels like rubber, and my hand hits the dashboard when i grab 3rd and 5th. also the interior is crap, but im told, since this car is a test model, its got a dummy interior. we've also just got a new wrangler with a new benz motor in it. great truck for offroading, but dont plan on taking this beast on the highway. any other questions about this, or any othet diamlerchrysler product, ask me. ive driven most of the cars that are gonna come out for the net 2 years, and some you wont see till late 08, early 09.

Which Benz engine is in the Wrangler? I know the 3.8 Gas V-6 is sourced from the Minivan/Pacifica line. It is not a Mercedes engine, as Chrysler had that one before the merge/takeover.
