Default 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8?

Let me restate that... I think it will be quite a bit more than 45K, since look at the sticker for this HEMI Limited...

why is it AWD. i think 45-50 sounds rite. that limited is like fulled loaded. a crossfire limited with no features is around 35. the srt is 45. 10 more then the base limited. so say the base limited on the jeep is also 35. add 10 and we are around 45. and say they will throw a few extra grand on cuz people who buys those cars dont care bout price. so 45-50 should be about rite. think about it. i may be completely wrong but still why is it AWD

Well, for starters, it's a Jeep Grand Cherokee. All new Jeep GC's are AWD. People who go out to buy a Jeep GC expect AWD. Don't want AWD, buy a different vehicle with the 6.1L -- within 2 years (about the time this vehicle would come to dealers, if it ever does) there will be several SRT-8 vehicles to pick from.

Please research before posting such incorrect info. As is EVEN SHOWN on the sticker above, the Hemi comes with 4wd, as does the 4.7l, as does even my 90 Cherokee.

my question was why the hell would the srt8 be AWD when every other jeep ever made including my 2005 Grand Cherokee is 4wd. and this person argues with me. i just wanted to no what tehre logic is to put awd on a jeep. jeeps are 4wd.

My above comment wasn't about you nickoman, just to be clean. Anyway, 4wd is not for on road handling, its for offroad trails and climing. Its selectable and has different ranges (I'm sure you know this, but bear with me). AWD, like my talon, does wonders for on the road and doesnt have to have a transfer case which adds wieght and is often "the weak link". Bad when you're making that much power. This SRT wont be trail rated...
