Floorpan replacement for Cherokee
Does anybody know of a place that sells the floor pan replacement for a 94' Jeep Cherokee?
I have a rust problem were the hole is NOW 4 feet by 2 feet..
this Jeep has a good running engine/tranny and the body and interoir are in very good condition
so I want to fix this before parting it out to the junkyard...
If anybody can weld this near Lebanon Ohio.. please email me!

http://www.makeitmopar.com/ (a site sponsor ) sells them, under the body parts menu \Pillars rocker and floor\ floor\floorpan . You will have to cut the old one out and weld this in though, if you pay a shop to do it the procedure will get expensive fast. They have it listed at $130 plus shipping (which is atleast 15% of the order cost, but probably more due to the size of the panel).
Is the part that is rusted over the exhaust on the passenger side? I am fixing a jeep now that is rusted there, a little on the drivers side, and some all across the rear cargo area. I am making my own panels as I go though (I didn't know about that site when I started the project and I'm past the point of no return).

I contacted them today, that floorpan is no longer made as of 11-24-2004
that was the same answer I got from the Jeep Dealer..
Now I'm wondering about the future of this Jeep..

Do you have any pics of the jeep?
I have been making 2'x2' (approximately) patch panels for the jeep I'm working on using:
a small Hobart mig welder (~$650 with the argon/co2 cylinder)
(these I got at harbor freight on sale...
4.5" grinder ($30) http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=31309
a flanging tool ($30) http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=41696
a bead roller(~$100) http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/p...emType=PRODUCT
I got the metal at lowes.. but its cheaper to find a local metal supplier in the phone book and buy a 4'x8' sheet of 18 gage steel (usually for under $100).

You might try seeing if makeitmopar has a floorpan for a 96... it should be close (and possibly still produced I think Dodge stops production after 10 years) or maybe try the 97-01 floorpan. They can't be that different, the bodies (inside and out) still look very similar.
You XJ guys might want to check over at NAXJA.org. Do a search for floor pan replacement. You should find plenty of info. It helps to have a thick skin on that site, but lots of good guys & lots of good info. HTH. JIM.

Edit: there is also http://www.shermanparts.com/page.php...ide&p=articles which has a "how to" article on installing a floorpan (although its not in a Jeep it is still helpful)
