'93 shadow as you are aware, and (looks sheepishly disappointed), but where is the air filter?

never mind i found it now how do you get it out and what filter will fit in it?

I take you got a tbi engine? The air filter is under the cover with the 3 plastic hold downs. Take a 1/4 rachet and extension to get out and should be right there.

So, I dont know what your meaning by cover, I took out a black box with a plastic bend pipe going near the valve cover, I dont exactly know where it goes into, but when i pulled it out, was hollow and had 4 grooved plates inside all attached like a \ V / motion. Can you find a picture and point it out. I would take one but my camera is dead and I cant find the charger.

The red square is where the filter is. The 3 hold down are shown. There both the same box but during certian years they didn't have larger plastic piece on top. The black box you took off did have wires to it? If it did you took apart the computer to run your car.

I pulled the plastic vaccum lines off my airbox that run the heat flap. I removed the heat flap and that metal thing in the airbox that is connected to the lines. It helped the old girl with some power. Not much but some. You can really hear that thing suck in the air now.
