Default SBEC (Computer) Needed

Does anyone have an idea where I can get an SBEC for a 91 Dodge Shadow 2.5 . Can the current one be tested? It seems to have gone bad after the battery was disconnected for a month - or maybe that is just a coincidence.
Either new or rebuilt will do.
Thanks.

What are the symptoms of the problem?

Started simple enough, fan not switching on. If wire isunplugged from sensor, fan runs fine (normal method testing sensor). Replaced fan sensor, still not working, replaced again, still not working. Then noticed that if sensor wire is plugged in, engine runs very irregular once normal temperature is reached and even backfires. If sensor wire is unplugged, it runs normally.
So it would seems as if the temperature signal totally screws up the computer and timing advance. The only culprit for this could be the SBEC, since if the input signal is totally removed by unplugging the wire, it runs a lot better.

I doubt whether 3 sensors will all be bad (the original + 2 replacements). I'll howevere use the link you gave to also test the wiring harness. It is actually a 93 Shadow, and I've had some bad spots already in the wiring, e.g. the wiring to the AIS and O2 sensorshorted out 2 years ago.
