Default 94 Sundance won't start

I have a 94 Sundance, 2.2.IT will not start and it doesn't crank either.I bought a new battery, thats not the problem.
We hotwired the car and it will start sometimes, like once a day.I will drive it and it runs fine, but once I turn it off it won't start again until the next day if i'm lucky.I have no idea whats going on.Can someone please help me?
Thanks, Rita W

Sounds to me that you got a bad connection on your battery.

Does the starter make any noise? like a clicking sound when you turn the key and it doesn't start.

No, there is no sound at all from the car when i turn the key.The dash lights come on and my headlights and radio work fine so I don't think it's the battery connections.I put a new starter on the car when i bought it, it's not even a year old yet.Could it be the starter or wires to the starter? It's so weird that it will start like once a day and then not again till the next day????

Did you clean the battery terminals and connectors when you put in the new battery?

Call your local parts store and ask if they can bench test your starter (you take it off the car and bring it to them). I'vehad a couple of new starters not work properly. If its not even clicking the solenoid on the starter could be bad.

I found out that it was a wire on the starter that was loose is why my car wouldn't start. Thanks to all that helped me, i'm a girl that knows nothing about cars but i'm trying to learn so that I can take care of my car
I have another question.Does anyone know where the plug or whatever you call the thing that you hook the diagnosis machine up to 2 get the codes for the check engine light is on a 94 Sundance?? I can't seem to find it.
