I have my A413 3 speed trans (from the '90 Spirit) on the floor now. I have a ATSG rebuild manual and a (minimal?) rebuild kit on hand.

I have read the manual and it looks pretty detailed, yet just "technical" .

I need more "anecdotal" information like that -- you know like the "duh" kind of stuff.

Any tips on general trans rebuilds?

I read an article in the recent Car Craft Mag (although not for the specific trans I have) that said you need to soak the new clutches in trans fluid (fora few hours)before installing -- I never knew that (but makes sense) -- duh! ----

What other "duh" things are out there waiting to bite me?
