My 2nd car was a 83 or 84 Aries 4 door... TAN! It always ran... never quite ran right. I got it to 85mph ONCE on the high way. I had it until I bought an 88 S-10. A friend of mine and I took it out in the woods and beat the **** out of it in the mud and fields. It did so well, my friend's brother offered me $500 for it. SOLD!
My first car was an 81 (I think) Oldsmobile Omega. My neighbor plopped a v6 with a 4 barrel in it. Lots of power! Lot's of power ended up crashing into a stone wall a week after I got my driver's license

I had 2 K cars;
First one was a 1984 gray Dodge 600ES convertible, I loved the look of that car. After that was finally dead, I picked up a 1985 black Chrysler Lebaron Mark Cross Edition convertible. I put a few parts from the 600ES onto the Lebaron before I got rid of the Dodge. The 600ES wheels looked really good on the Chrysler, and the steering wheel was swapped also. I gave the Lebaron away to a veteran who fixed it up and hopefully is still driving it.
This was before digital pictures, I gotta try and find some of those pictures. Anyway if any of you guys with convertibles need a boot, check out my thread in the parts classified.

I've had a 1991 Dodge Spirit-Brown with tan interior; 1987 LeBaron GTS-White with grey interior; 1990 Dodge Shadow-Dark Purple-Burgundy interior; currently drive everyday 1994 Plymouth Acclaim-Teal with grey interior/192k miles/3.0L/4 speed tranny and it has never lost a stoplight race with a Civic or Integra-not even a turbo charged Civic that went "Wheeeee" between each shift really loud as the turbo dump exhaled. There was NEVER a serious problem with K cars. The people who bought them dirt cheap didn't maintain them, unlike the retards who paid 2-3x as much for Camries and Maximas who maintained them religiously. Put a little maintenance into a K car and they will live forever. Nothing infamous about them-change the description please!
My 87 coupe (2 door) with 86k on her clock appraised at $5200 US, but then again mine is rather unique it was the first Aries coupe built for the 87 model year, only 7715 coupes were made for 87 today roughly 924 survive, it was #278 on the assembly line out of approx 96k Aries built. People dont realize the collectability of the these 80's rides, a good place to start finding the value would be collector car price guides.
Sorry to hear about the accident. I have an 88 aries wagon 2.2 N/A with 5 speed. I might be interested in some of the parts after the claim goes through. Send me a private message when you are going to part it out. Thanks.
I just bought an '87 Aries LE 4 dr sedan with 27,000 actual miles on it....the previous owner was a little old lady who purchased it new and kept it garaged all it's life up until now. When I bought it...it was not running . After bringing it home on a flatbed, my mechanic discovered the problem....replaced the injector on the TBI....and it fired right up and drives like the day it rolled off the assembly line.
