88 reliant 2.2 torque con. lockup solenoid
I have a mitchell wiring diagram for the vehicle and it shows a torque converter lockup solenoid. I've been it kinda works like a nuetral saftey switch has anybody heard of this? If so where is it and could this be the reason the car starts, and then dies after you release the key? I've ran the codes and i get a 37. P.T.U. solenoid, i'm told it's on the passenger side fender well next to a couple of other solenoids. Thereare only two over there. One goes to the purge canister and the other goes to the egr. any help?........thanks
I searched the net for a pic of the part youre looking for, so you could see it and match it up with what your looking at under the hood, but couldnt find any, so I pm'd one of our members who is a manager at a Dodge dealer parts dept, asking him about your problem, this is what he sent me I hope this helps you out.

I thought that the part throttle unlock solenoid was IN the transmission. I believe the connector is on the left front of the transmission. I know that back in the day, the connector was bad about drawing up/shrinking and then would not make a good connection. # 19 in the picture attached is the solenoid I am talking about...Hope this helps.....
