If you get a small turbo you won't have much if any turbo response issues since they spool up really quick. The SRT-4's turbo is on the small side which is why it spools up right away, my Shelby Z took a bit more to spool up with it's larger turbo.
Isn't the turbo on the SRT-4 a variable geometry turbo (VNT)??
No, its just a REALLY small turbo. Only Chrysler VNT's were offered from 89-91 - but I'm guessing you know this.

Yea, but I was unclear about the SRT-4. I know allot of the newer diesel pick-up's are available with a variable geometry turbo, and I didn't know if that technology made it over to the SRT or not.

Thanks for the info.[sm=smiley20.gif]

ORIGINAL: SHADOWES

Looks like a good start. Not bad for a 93. The only thing I don't like about older dodge's are the fact that they peel paint like no tommorow.

Not ALL old Chryslers.... My shadow is also a '93, but black..... It just seems to mostly affect the Teal and White ones... Seen alot of white neons and shadows that peel badly too.

Seemed to affect the Silver ones aswell, not as bad as the teal ones though, I work with a lady that has a 94 Shadow ES (2.5L motor @ 70k miles) and the paint is flawless other than normal rust spots near wheel wells

Forgot about silver, but that seems to be almost ALL silver cars.... I had a 1989 Horizon (omni) in silver, and it went bad, but not peeling....it seems like the paint "washed away" over the years. My dad had an old Mercury Grand Marquis in silver, and it did the same thing.

I was told a while back that theres something in the paint that makes it do that.... Dunno..

BTW, back on topic. I'm gonna try and test-fit a set of 18's on my shadow in the next weeks. I'll post pics, you decide.

a lot of cars chevy ford and chrysler had problems in the eighties with clear cote peel mostly because of the process they painted it the primer was the color of the car and then they would spray the clear cote on it in the nineties they changed this process and mixed the clear cote and primer which eliminated a lot of the clear cote problems.
