How do you adjust the idle on a 94 spirit
it should be on the throttle body...on the RT its staring you rigth ni the face...but im not familiar with that car...what motor?
From what I've ben told, there is an idle throttle motor he called it. There is an adjustment under a plastic plug that can be removed, then loosen the jam nut and adjust the idle where you need it. Don't forget to tighten the jam nut.
I am not sure of what motor it is, its not my car, I know its the 4cyl though. After taking a closer look at it I found the idle screw, it is under the cap. There is also an idle motor. I told him to just replace the motor if he wanted to. The car idles fine to me, it has a small, small miss at idle, but he wants a car with 130,000 miles on it to idle like new.
on the 2.5 / 2.2 , its simple, take teh TB off, remove the Idle motor, CLEAN THE CRAP outof it, get allteh carbon off, that may affect idle... and if he wants it to be real smooth idle, platinum plugs are good for that, not uch else, but, they are a smooth idle
