I have 2 Spirits, 91 and 92. The speedometers work fine in dry weather. They do not work at all when it's extremely wet. In between there is a period of time when the speedometer will work when the headlights are on high beam but quits while on low beam. What possible explanation could there be for these 2 systems to become related.
I'm assuming that the wet problems are related to the speed sensor, but I don't want to do the upgrade. How can I waterproof it?
Any solutions or related 'Gremlin' problems are appreciated.

Thats odd, I would check for shorts before I do the speed sesor, sounds like a ground short to me.
