I got a 1992 Plymouth Acclaim. Not a bad car. I need to know if ANYONE knows where i can get gauge faces for it. Not like im racing it out, its just that the old gauges are boring after a while. I cant find anywhere, so im hoping anyone reading this can help. Thanx!

Wont find anything but a piece of sheet metal that is either stainless or chromed that goes over the black part AROUND the gauges. Does your car have a tach or no? if it does I have some overlays I can send you...not sure how exactly they work had someone else send them to me easy to use just print em out, take off the needles and put them on. Havent tested them out because they are the ones with for a car with a tach and mine isnt in the gauge cluster. Lemme know if you want them and your email addy if you do.

Nope just a overlay that goes over the black part, if you want gauge faces for this car you either have to find someone to custom make them or paint them.

 

Mine does have the tach. It originally came with the tach, but, i found a gauge cluster at the local junkyard that had a tach, and decided to see if it works. IT DOES! It plugs right in, same wires and all. So, if your acclaim has no tach, and you want one, take a trip to the local boneyard, and find a cluster with tach. Now, to change your speedometer, so your mileage is the same, take the cover thing off your cluster, and there are 2 screws that hold the speedometer in. Take out those two screws, and the speedometer pops out, and the other one pops right back in its place. Bassboy: Could you send me the addy to that, its better than nothing! Thanx! Casper: I cant find anyone who makes them for my car, but they make it for everything else under the sun! I found a company, that if you put in a request for your car, they need 10 buyins and they will make the gauge faces. Givin that a try. Wow pretty scary i was just going to post to ask if I can put a cluster that has a tach in my car lol..I got my cluster along with every dash part that is removable from a junkyard for FREE they guy wont take money for any smaller dash parts. Debating about putting this one in, knew how to change the speedometer out but didnt know if putting this cluster in would work right or not. I have a aftermarket tach in my car right now so dont really need this cluster, altho I do like it more. What place is it that you said needs 10 buyins? maybe I will send them a request aswell .

 

The website is SteetRacerParts.com I sent them a request, now I am waitin on them. Does anyone know anybody that will custom make gauges then? I have all but given up on finding anyone who makes them, so Ill get em custom made if anyone knows where I can get that done at. Anything is better than the ones i got now, i even got to the point where i put a blue neon inside the gauges, anything to make em different. Thanx!

 

Went ahead and put my other cluster in...only thing that works in the dam thing is the battery gauge, the speedo didnt work, tach, temp, nor gas...the speedo works fine i know this cuz its out of my original cluster. if anyone has any idea why it wont (im guessing cuz the computer doesnt know its there or something) lemme know cuz my overlays look pretty decent. heres what they look like

well...found out i was pushing the needles on too tight cuz now they all work aside from the tach (not sure why it wont work) but its no big deal it looks good and i have a aftermarket tach anyhow..if anyone knows how to fix it still lemme know.
