I bought my '93 Shadow in march (2.2 L, Manual) About a month ago it wouldn't start, wouldn't do anything, except the radio would turn on. I jumped the solenoid and it started just fine. When my friends got tired of pushing me to go anywhere, i brought it to the dealer, they said it was the clutch switch and to replace it would be $110. I said i'd do it, but i just connected the wires. It still doesn't start unless i push, or jump the solenoid. Does anyone know what else this could be? I also would like to know where i can get parts to customize my shadow (body kits, euro lights, etc.)

 

search for body kits online. there are three.


You need a new starter. Easy to install.

Ebay has some custom stuff too.

 

Like SHADOWES said there are 3 online, Anything other than those will have to be custom fabricated/fit. Im just going to stick with my stock bodykit and modify it myself, Workin on putting mesh behind my grille right now gonna look nice once im done . As for the starter, its easy to swap out...Just need to pull the air box off and there will be 2 bolts holding the start on (its in the back of the motor). Then just d/c the wires and hook up the new one ...

 

sounds like ignition switch to me
