I have a 92 Spirit and kept hearing a banging underneath. Took off the tire and there is a spring that sits behind the shock. Something that used to be mounted in the top part of the spring has broken off and is trapped inside the spring. I've been to several auto parts stores and no one knows what this is and the only springs they have for the car don't have this other part built in. It may be independent of the spring but no one knows what it is. Any help would be appreciated.
