1985 LaBaron Converable No Start
I found this car on accident while over at a friends step fathers farm. I went exploring and I discovered a collection of old cars the farm owner had gotten over the years, that were just sitting under his barn.
The only one that caught my eye was a little red K Car. It has the 2.2L Turbo engine. Big plus! Always wanted a turbo car.
I asked, he said it was put under there 5 years ago. He told me he was driving it one day, and it just stopped. I looked it over and asked him how much he wanted. Got it for $100, clear title and all. It's still currently under the barn being stored for the winter.
It's clean, and no critters have claimed it as a home.
I did have a chance to mess around with it; It has compression, and the engine is getting fuel (Checked the plugs, all wet). Doesn't seem to have any spark, at all. I also noticed when I turn the car to ignition, the check engine light doesn't turn on. I'm not totally sure if they should light on ignition in a Chrysler, but it doesn't (I primarily own GM cars, but this car really caught my eye).
I'm thinking the cars brain is toast. I found a 1986 Turbo in a local scrap yard I intend to take the brain from; Just in case. But I am open to any and all ideas to why it has no spark.
