Did you swap a 2.2L Turbo II and A-555 Getreg into your 86' Turbo Z? I know the 2.2L Turbo II and A-555 Getrag manual transaxle didn't come out until 87' when they became Shelby Z's. The Turbo Z's came with the 2.2L Turbo I non-intercooled engine and the A-525. If I do an engine swap in mine it will get the RWD conversion and a 440 I have sitting around put in it.

Yup, I did a conversion from an 89. it is 89 electronics in and out. The shell/TII electronics are f/s as well as the 86 engine. Dirt cheap - I'm looking to get $1000 out of it all. I put an 89 GTC suspension on the car as well (rear vented disc brakes!!!) that go with the car as well. A555 had to go into the GTS. Prev. owner had trans rebuilt but then neglected to add fluid See my page for details on the car

I always figured a newer cars engine swap would be a nightmare. Having to change the wiring, computer and all related hardware is too much work for me.LOL
