Default dodge white smoke



hi.</P>


my car dodge spirit 89 now is smoking a lot for 5 minute in cold day, i added oil treatment to oil, and still a lot of white smoke that i can not see around till i drive.</P>


any help before i take it to repair?</P>

You absolutely sure its smoke? does it have even the slightest blue tint to it?

Blue smoke=burning oil, white smoke=burning water/coolant. If it was just a little bit till it warms up I would just say condensation, but if theres alot then I would check to see if your loosing coolant into the cylinders(bad head gasket,warped or cracked head).

roadrunner is right. if its white, theres something wrong with the headgasket (most likely). either way, coolant is making its way to your combustion chamber
