Default Fuel Magnet Question

Do you think those magnets that go on your fuel lines actually work. I saw them on ebay. I havent bought one but I do see a lot of people buying them. Are these people suckers or not. Heres a link.

Not sure if i could really see it working on a gasline, however it does make sense for a oil filter. I soppose it could work for a ga line but dont really know. If you do buy one let us know your results!

Or what about those cyclonic air intake insert thingies? I've heard a few horror stories about those. The tend to break apart in the intake and get sucked right into your engine... can you say "bang!"?
