Electrical Issues
Hello all!
I'm new to the forum and need some help fixing my 1990 Shadow. My car has been parked in the driveway a few years now not driven as it has had some issues. Last year I fixed the alternator and it would start just fine. Had some leaking fuel lines and fixed those. There is a huge amount of air in the brakes and zero pressure but that is a secondary problem. The car used to start just fine and purred very nicely with no issues. Then one day absolutely nothing, zip, zero, na da. There is no electrical going through to anything. No horn, lights, instrument panel, wipers. Nothing. Poking around I found one ground wire that fell off of something around the carburetor. I also found a nut there too. I can't find where the wire goes much less the nut. Also, I can not charge the battery with the wire cables on it. I have to take them off and the battery charges just fine. When I put the wires plugs back on the battery will drain completely.
I have the original Chrysler repair manuals for this vehicle but it's a bit lacking in information. I see in the diagrams where that wire is suppose to ground to but not what it's suppose to be grounding. I'm suppose to have 3 relays somewhere on a triangular shaped block but it doesn't tell me where that is located. Grrr! The body style is AP and a 2.2 L non turbo with AC.
