It's the same as the Omni/Horizon engines after the first couple of years production. The very early ones had VW engines. Those may swap but none of the parts will. I think one or two of my interchange books will help there if you need parts. A Dodge Omni is rare, the Rampage is even more so. The Horizon only varies in trim for the most part.
It came from the OP's grandfather. Doing a lot of changes would get away from the grand father. What few things I have from my grand parents I keep to remind me of them. I have a mantle clock that I can close my eyes and listen and in my head I see my grand parents in their parlor and rocking in their chairs.
I like the idea of the 2.2l engine with a turbo I’ve finally obtained the funding to begin work on the car and I’ll begin to post my progress in the next month or so thanks for your guys input so far and I look forward to the help along the way
There where different versions of the 2.2 turbo motors. If you want to stick with a 4 cylinder start with the 2.5 and add all the stuff off the turbo 2's. I own 3 turbo cars and they can be fun but nothing compared to a big block. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysl...%26_2.5_engine
