Default Washed, Waxed and Buffed

Just cleaned my baby today. The buffing really helped the minor scratches.

Looks awesome!!! What type of wax do you use? The reason I ask is because I live in FL and the sun just beats on it all day. I had it painted in 2002 and they told me not to use wax. I used it anyway and I think between the sun and the crappy wax I used it turned part of the hood white.

You aren't supposed to wax a new paint job for a couple days to a couple weeks, depending. The paint has to have time to fully cure.

Did you wax the car in direct sunlight? That will pretty much bake wax on to the paint. You can try a wax and grease remover (from Napa, an automotive paint supply store, or possibly an autoparts store) to try and get rid of the white on your hood.

You might want to try Turtle Wax ICE http://www.icepolish.com/?tid=137 its also available at AutoZone, you can apply it in direct sunlight without any problems.

Shadowman, your car looks awesome, sittin pretty. I wish I could have mine lookin that nice, our driveway is a swamp (from the rain, and the fact we havent gotten a new load of gravel yet) so everytime I park it, she gets mucked up again. Anyways, I like the car man, looks good!
