93' Shadow 2.2 Oil change
I'am just curious as too what I'd need to do to change the oil in my car, and how much oil it would take. Thanks, I've never changed the oil in my car yet, I usually pay the car shop too.
Unless you are really skinny and can fit under your car, get a jack and some jackstands. For the drain plug, i dont know what size it is, but just use a crescent wrench and loosen it to drain the oil. You will need a pan or something like that to catch the oil. You will a need a couple rags because the the oil filter spills oil on the block when you take it off. And your car should take 4 and a half quarts of oil. If there is anymore info you need just ask. And it would be best to use 5W-30 and DONT USE PENNZOIL.
Pennzoil is the worst oil ever created. It leaves gunk and residue inside your heads, crank, and oil pump. It will eventually ruin plenty of parts inside the motor. So to put it plainly PENNZOIL = Wrecked Motor. Dont take it from me, plenty of people here on DodgeForum hate Pennzoil. Or just do a search on Google about Pennzoil and gunk. Might I suggest using Castrol or Valvoline in your Shadow.
I dont think it would hurt to put that in but only how much it says on the bottle. If i am thinking of the same lucas as you, that stuff is pretty thick. So only put how much it states on the bottle to put in.
