Default trouble

Hey guys I was swapping out my starter when a bolt fell into the tranny converter housing. My question is do you guys think that the bolt possibly fell to the oil pan or maybe to the differential pan. I have a 3 speed tranny thanks for your time and the feed back

Take the lower inspection shield off and you may be able to fish it out.You can't get a bolt into the oil pan or the different pan since those are sealed. I would get that bolt out since it could catch on the conveter and do some damage. The lower inspection cover comes out but removeing the lower bolts to the housing. You have to loosen some bolts on the front motor mount and also take off the suport bracket on the rear. Then there should be one 10mm bolt dead center of the cover.

If you jack up the car. Crawl under it and look between the motor and trans there is a thin tin shield the goes between it. If your lucky if you get the shield out you be able to get the bolt depending on the size of it.
