Spirit R/T owners....
ORIGINAL: 1970GTX
If you're still a Spirit R/T owner, let's talk. Maybe you've run into a problem I've got with mine that I can't as of yet remedy. Code F1-1 on the digital odometer/tripometer.

???? First time these books have failed me.
Nice Forum. Being this is my first post on here, hello to everyone.
I would liketo clerify a couple of things mentioned. Using the steel core plugs was only part of thereason the heads cracked. The other reason was the improper amount of torque that was applied when inserting the core plugs. The same with being more than just one reason why timing belts failed prematurely. The valve springs used in the TIII head are too strong and takes it's toll on the t-belt with additional stress. Alignment of thetiming marks and the amount of initial tension then re-tension after 15 minutes of run time is critical (new belt only) to longevity of the t-belt. A t-belt tensioner gauge isoffered by FM i believe or one of the ringed sites. It is highly recommended to use the tool when doing this job to assure proper post-run and after-run tensioning. Also, vehicles equipped with turbochargers should always be idled down 1-2 minutes to prevent oil from coking in the lines. Don't forget to reroute your o2 sensor harness from the factory setting if you haven't done so yet. Check it thoroughly also for crisp, cracked, or burnt wiring underneath the black cladding.
I hear the titanium retainers are the way to go for this engine. I will be picking them up when I get some more free time. Cheers.

Bringing back from the dead....
Just wanted to say whats up to the other T3 owners.
I dont have a spirit RT but a daytona iroc rt. Its a white 92, and is also a PVP Pilot car. Just finished up a total bottom end rebuild and got a built LoneWolf performance head and cams to go with it. Also just picked upa Holset HX-40pro to replace my baby s70. The BEST site for info these cars has to be the T3 section over at Turbododge.com. LOTS of experienced people over there. Plus, there is an IROC and Spirit Registry that you can post a writeup and a pic of your RT. Its pretty cool.
Anyway, pics and build info in the link in my sig(vid links on the cardomian page as well...) Would love to see some pics of your guys cars.
