Cold morning problems with '93 Acclaim
Hi there, I'm obviously new here but I tried searching on this for common problems but didn't turn up much that I haven't tried.
My fiancehas a '93 Acclaim and it's been idling really rough (almost stalling) and driving badly until it's warm. Worse on colder mornings of course.
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor were all new in the summer, gas has antifreeze in it, fuel injector cleaner put in every so often, when she gives it gas while it's missing sometimes there's black smoke from the tailpipe, and it passed an etest in the summer with flying colours.
Any idea what I can do to make it better so she can clear off the snow off her car without having to jump back in all the time to give it gas or restart it?
The heated air inlet is not working, I disconnected it since the temp sensor in the intake is stuck open so it's drawing air from the hot manifold all the time (yes, I plugged the vac lines), and it purrs like a kitten when warm.
Thanks for any help
