Do you know anything about the carrier bearing? having trouble switching it out. looks like I need a press and don't have one. I have a '05 1500 Hemi Ram auto, long bed
I hope everything is going well for you. I hope you don't mind me asking this question? Did you ever fix your problem with your truck staying cold for too long? This is killing my gas mileage. My truck has been doing the same thing now, for about six or seven months. Ever since I installed the new intake manifold to fix my vacuum problem. I've installed three or four different thermostats, I've made sure that all the air is out of the system, etc. I've even replaced the engine cooling sensor twice, and still no luck. I can clear the code with my SCT tuner but it still comes back, about every 250 to 300 miles.
According to the instructions with the new intake from Hughes Engines, I also relocated my IAT sensor up stream on the cold air intake. I believe this has got something to do with it. And was just wondering if you had any luck with everything you've tried. I'm to the point that I have to take it to a mechanic to see if I can get this problem worked out. My goal was to try everything possible before I do that too save money.
Any suggestions or thoughts on what you've worked on would be greatly appreciated.
