I have a 2003 Dodge ram 1500. Recently my cv joint came off the differential half shaft causing the splines to be ground down. I need to replace this shaft coming out of the front differential but I dont know where to get a replacement or how to go about replacing. Im not even sure what this shaft is called. Any ideas?

 

Depending on the nearest auto part store call them it might be a dealer only part therefore if so your wallet is already crying from the quote . Sad but true
