Default 1993 Dodge Dakota 5.2L Club Cab 4x4

Hello all,
Been on the Forum for a week or so, getting info on my new truck and tackling a few things. Wanted to introduce my new truck to all of you.

She is a 1993 Dodge Dakota 5.2L 4x4 Club Cab with 19,000 original miles. She is completely stock besides new maintenance stuff (wires/plugs/etc…). She even has her original tires (changing tires when I find new wheels on Craigslist for her). Just wanted to share a few photos.

Will share more as I add things to her. Suggestions on mods and opinions in general are welcome and appreciated. Cheers

-Will

Holy cow! Good for you. That's a jewel of a find.

First order of business...Cat back dual exhaust. It's a crime to have a V-8 with a single pipe..lol

Some Durango wheels would look neat on there. 6 lug, right?

Tint the side windows.

Rub all the weatherstrips down with Vaseline and dry them off.

OMG....19,000 miles on a 21 year old truck is amazing. How did you find it? What did you pay for it (if you dont mind me asking)....?

TNTECH* Exhaust is on the list, but on the back burner. The original tires are cracking on the side walls from age, so I need to replace them first, for safety. I was thinking of getting some newer Dakota or Durango wheels, but they are pretty hard to come across nearby. Maybe because these are a rare bolt pattern… The side back windows and camper windows are already tinted, just not the fronts. It is illegal here to tint the front windows at all, but we all get away with 35%…
I am going to do the vaseline thing today, that is a GREAT idea!

JKEATON* Found it on good 'ol Craigslist. Located 15 minutes away from me and right down the street from my buddy's place. The guy who I bought it from obtained it from the original owner, an 88 year old man. The seller did some remodel work on the old man's house, and took the truck as payment. Purchased for $3500, not bad for a somewhat brand new truck.

That is a fantastic price. That sucker is not even broken in yet.... You will get many, many years of good use out of that truck. I'd also change all the fluids just to be on the safe side and give it a tune up. Be sure to check out the 1st gen Dakota section if you have not already.

Im in the process of giving her a good tune up. I need to change all the fluids besides engine oil, but Im trying to figure out why she is idling low and making that popping sound first…. Thanks for the comments JKEATON. Ill post more photos next week when I get some newer rims and tires for her.

The 1st Gen section has saved me a lot of time in wrenching on her. This forum is a life and money saver. Haha Cheers

If he's not interested I might be. My clear coat has all but come off and the brake dust sticks like sugar on a glazed donut. They 16" or 17" ?

That truck is stunning. This is going to be my featured "Cool Thread of the Day" on the
DF Front Page.
