2000 Ram 1500 Sport 5.2 Manual 2WD Club Cab Short Bed
Hello from the UK. I have always wanted a Second Gen, but I wasn't specifically looking for one. I'd actually been saving for an Audi S6 when this popped up for a good price. I think you'll agree I made the better decision.
If I could go back to 2000 and order a Ram brand new it would have been a Solar Yellow Quad Cab V10 Manual Sport, but I really can't complain because I've love it already.
There are several minor issues I'll hopefully be able to stamp out in time for summer. There are some cool modded trucks on this forum but I prefer the factory look, so I'll be taking it back to pawpaw spec as much as possible with absolutely 0 parts availability.
And by the way, those fuel prices are in pence per litre.
2000 Club Cab to add to the more rare, don't see those pop up very often
Nice truck, I've wanted a 2nd gen 5spd gasser, I even built one once with an NV4500 but that was my younger stupid days, messed with the dizzy, didn't have computer to fix it, didn't now anyone that could besides dealer, ended up parting it out right away. Its a regular battle in my current 98 build, do I want to manual swap or not
I really hated the third gen wheels it came with so I picked these up. They were cheap but they're pretty corroded inside. I still haven't found a bed cover so I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and ship one over. I replaced both regulators and window glasses for a pair of tinted ones.
I've been pretty busy with trying to sell my ****ty Volvo and replace it with something better, so I haven't had much energy for working on the truck. Looking forward to tackling the plenum.
Rare indeed...
I found a manual RAM in a wrecking yard in California. Needless to say, the NV3500 became part of my luggage for my van's trip home:
I don't know what I'll do with it, but it will be the only one in Australia.
Yes, I do find it interesting calling on the wrecking yards in the US...
These are earnestly sought after...
...as I have to put in new belts here and as the vans always have top-end straps, I have to have a way to put ordinary belts in. This is to comply with Australian regulations.
It's not silly to be collecting vulnerable parts like these, totally unavailable in Australia:
But it's a two-way street as well, in 2024 I took bits with me for someone who needed them:
He'd picked up a 5-speed gearbox for his forester but the other bits were hard to find.
