Well, being from Toronto, you know about snow and salt, but the roads suck here though. Winter and early spring in a car will kill it in short order.

SE Mich isn't bad, but Detroit isn't getting much better. Ok if you work for one of the larger companies, but like they said, dont buy in Detroit.

 

Aw, Michigan:

Don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change.
Two seasons, winter and road construction ... oops, lately just make it one season, road construction.
Home of road rage.
Lots of fresh "water".
North of Windsor.
Decent fishing ... unless of course you are from Canada ... but then you can always travel to Canada to fish ... except trout, great in the Ausable.
So So hunting. Pheasants run, rabbits hide, clay targets made of steel, many bird hunting farms ... for the rich.
Detroit, a great place to be from.
Many nice areas within 25 miles of Detroit. Some going away as Detroit reaches out.
Dead Wings and pissedons. Tigers ... Ha Ha Ha. Lions ... who????
Lots of amateur hockey.

Not a real bad place to live. Worse than some, better than most.
