New Owner/First Question
Millenniumdna: The oil catch can mod is happening this weekend, without a doubt.
PSI Chick: I kinda had my doubts about going with motor mount INSERTS, and wondered about going with totally new mounts. How involved is the change out and what would be the cost of the parts you speak of? I am planning on lowering the car with coilover, but I am wondering how harsh the ride will be. Im also wondering if I can go any wider with the tires.
Dave.

most mounts are about $150 for the pair. there is also a new tranny mount available, but it's not very popular. it's actually pretty easy to change the mounts, all you need is a jack, a piece of wood, and a 21mm wrench and you're pretty much good to go. i would definitely recommend the psi-fi dogbones, they work well and the new ones will be just about indestructible. warning however, there is more vibration with solid mounts, especially when using the a/c. it's not that bad, but it's there and you can feel the difference when that a/c turns on.
as for tires, you're kinda limited. 17 or 18's are fine, a few people have squeezed on 19's with success. the issue is that the car can't take more than a 7.5" rim or you start to rub. so that limits your tire size to a max of a 235. i'm running a 17x7 rim with 225/45R17's and i have no problems. 235's will work, but it's a tighter fit.
believe it or not, the ride actually improves some with coilovers. well, i guess it also depends on which ones you get. i too am planning on coilovers when i pay off some bills (and i stop buying other stuff!), and i plan on getting the ipp (aka ip2) ones. they are 34 way adjustable and have 3 spring rates, so you can set the ride to just about anything you want, and then change it for the track. the mopar stage 3's also are fully adjustable, but are more expensive.

The FWD cars that have power will always fight for power up front as they try and grab traction. If you watch the high power FWD's running at the track you will see them fighting the steering wheel as it tries to gain traction.
