It depends. We work real close with a couple of other small PDs and I personally know several of their officers, so if I "dropped" a few names, I'd probably get off unless I was doing something really stupid. You just don't want to abuse the privlege.
If I got stopped by the San Antonio PD, it would be a little more serious. Not to bad mouth them, but they have their own little "groups" and if you're an outsider, they tend to be a little cold.
State Troopers are another story. They are the pro's and don't play favorites very often!
My badge and ID did come in handy when I went to the county jail to visit my son....first class treatment by the Deputy Sheriff's there and no waiting in line!!!!

I hear ya. After I bought my SRT-4 I went to the "other" forum and played hell trying to get anybody to answer a question w/o some sarcastic remark or have anyone even just say "hi". After a few days of the "cold shoulder", I looked for another site and found DF. I consider this my second home!!!!!
well , i didnt get to drive 1 , but , im better off . im not going to get 1 im sorry to say. i cant justify putting $5000 down on a lease to get payments under $300 a month. and to get $359 a month finance , i have to get a 72 month with $5000 down. sorry all , tomarrow i will be going to the subaru dealership. i realy wish i could get it , but with the wife not working , 2 babies and a $350 car payment as it is , i cant. thank u all for all of your help. sorry to disappoint. i got some new friends in just a few days , and i am happy to know u all
