tired old bfg's
well, i was looking in the 150 range since that's what the KDW2's cost. i don't want to go cheap with my tires since that is the most important part of my car. however i don't plan on doing any road racing or serious drag racing or anything, just your average fun from the light and the occasional quick on/off ramp.
really i guess i was asking if there were tires that were crap to look out for (not concerned about road noise, my car does nothing but make noise). and is a 215 really that bad? it's only about a 1/2 inch wider than a 205.

once in a while you can find a good deal on tires. i got 4 stock KDWs on OEM rims for $400, they have maybe 700 miles on them (still have the nubbies). and i had paid like $350 to have 2 tires shipped to my door. lets review:
4 stock rims + 4 stock tires = $400
2 stock tires = $350
there are people who buy these cars and immediately upgrade rims and tires. deals are out there if you look in the right places

if you're looking for a good tire that's not so expensive look into the fuzions. they area nice all season and are very well priced (you can get them under $100 each easily). i also am a fan of the michilen pilot sports, great tires but a little pricey. nitto has great tires as well, i really love their stuff actually.
the only two brands that i would suggest staying away from are nankangs and continentals. other than that just be sure that you aren't going with an over priced tire. many times there are options that are cheaper and perform just as good as the really expensive tires out there.

if you want, i have soemwhwere in my inbox a guy who was going to sell me his stock rims/tires for 5 or 6 hundred (brand new) if you want, ill dig it up, he may still have them
yeah, i got 4 rims & tires for 400 bucks, so thats 100 a piece for rim and tire... not bad if you ask me
but the 600 i believe was including shipping. however i found a guy locally and avoided shipping charges alltogether
