what's the best year to get as for the srt-4?

 

Either an 04' or 05'. They have bigger injectors, Quaife limited slip differential, and grippier tires (BFGoodrich KDW2s). Also sunroofs weren't available for the 03's.

 

03's or 04's. 03's had just as much power, don't let the ads fool you. no lsd but it honestly doesn't make that much of a difference anyway, and race cars don't have sunroofs so who cares lol (really though, i'm glad i don't have a sun roof, they have a lovely habbit of popping open at high speed).

 

An '05 because that's when they made "Stone White" but I guess you could always paint an '03 and add some sort of LSD to it?

 

03 lacked the LSD, but 05 likes to throw more of a fit over mods. so SILVER 04 is the best

 

yeah i would do an 04. the 03 not as much power, and the 05 throw codes.. he is right

 

Yup, Car and Driver noted beter performance figures for the post '03 model as did other publications/web sites. They also praised the LSD..........

I would go with a 04 or 05 not all 05s will give you problems . I had an acr and never gave me a problem . Im lookin for another acr now really hard to find .

 

OBVIOUSLY the opinion is going to differ on who you talk to . I have an '05, and I have had a few problems with it, but not many.

Are you looking for just a daily driver type of deal, or track car?

 

Well my final answer for anyone that asks this question since all the cars don't differ too much is, Go For The Best Deal at the Cheapest Price. Obviosly make sure the car is in good order if you have a couple to choose from. If bigger injectors or LSD's mean more to you then 04, 05 is the way to go. Like PSI Chick said, doesn't really make too much of a difference.
