I heard that the 05 model has no problems where as 03 and 04 does. Doesn't the 05 come with sport suspension and more power/torque? 05 doesn't come with sun roofs also right? Well my friend bought a 05 sti... i was curious if i bought an 05 srt-4... with both cars evenly moded... who would win on a 1/4? 0-60mph? highway... other words until they max out? just wanted to know haha.

 

well, the 05 ACR is pretty nice, different suspension and such (google or search works wonders researching stuff).
03 has no sunroofs.
sorry to say youll need some mods on the srt to keep up with a new STI. yes, the sti will stock for stock spank you. we wont discuss 'even' modding, as i dont believe it exists

^just because even modding always erupts into a big argument that goes nowhere. if car A with these mods went against car B with those mods... blah blah blah.
unless you have identical cars with identical mods, i believe there is no such thing as 'even' mods

they throw codes like bitch!!!!!!..thats 1....and sti stock vs srt4 stock wont kill nobody.I raced buddies STI(15psi) 2nd gear roll and I beat him.I was spiking 15 and holding 10.Maybe he sucked as a driver...who knows.0-60 he will kill you!!!!!!

Everything on car: Perfectly OK except for oily residue still showing up at TB clamp even though it's a $10 clamp and tight. I'll upgrade to better hoses and try a check valve.

 

major problems.......ecu recall for reflash, a batch went out with bend valves, 3rd gear tranny problems are more common on this year than others.

minor problems.....can't use other years stage kits because of lack of battery temp sensor, different programing in ecu causes more problems when modifying, more must be done with vacuum lines to not throw codes.

so yea, overall there are more issues with 05 than with any other year. just because YOU haven't had the issue doesn't mean that there aren't a ton of other people out there than have.
