what parts give me the most HP for the least $
Hey guys, im 18 and about 5 months ago i bought a 2004 black srt-4. Ive already got a mopar BOV, greddy turbo timer, mopar tail lights, and i painted the spokes of the stock wheels black, but its time for more power. Its a stage 0 and i have only about $ 1500 to spend. I was thinking about getting a (stage 2W/O toys, and an AEM truboost boost controller and possibly a AGP wastegate). I picked these parts cause stage 2 says it will give me 260 and the electronic boost controller and wastegate should rele help because my car is stock nowsomy boost spikes at about 12 and tapers off to 9 at redline.Oh and i only have a stock exhaust. Are there any other options in my price range that will give me more power and if so wat are they? How much HP will i get with the stage 2 and a electronic boostcontroller with a stock exhaust? Will it be more worth it to buy a full 3 inch exhaust rather than a boost controller?

first off....you got a boost leak.Get that fixed first.I held 14psi while stock.....2 1/2' exhaust is good for 300hp.If you go past that then I recomend 3'.I dunno much about stages so I can't help you there.What I would do is ged rid of that mopar bov because eventually it will start leaking(if itisn't right now)Buy an oil catch can and replace the stock boost gauge because it will also start giving you troubles.I'm talking from my own experiences here, no bs.Thats a good start there....also very important, as soon as you start messing with you boost buy a wideband(air and fuel ratio gauge).Hope this helps, remember fix that boost leak and with those few things I listed above you should be allrite!
personally id save up a bit more and order a stage2 mopar kit . And make sure that you get a mopar exhaust because its slightly cheaper than most exhausts out there. And on that note you wont really need anything else at the power level your seeking. And thats without the racegas. As for the stage 3 thats a bit too extreme for even daily driving because you gotta change alot of **** out like the downpipe and all other **** like the turbo and manifold. I know you want power and at the less time less headaches so being that its not far from your budget just go stage 2. Thats what im goin for just waiting on the **** to get back to me.
If you are just looking for about 260hp and not going to be at the track much.... I would go with Stage 2 w/out toys and an AGP wastegate and call it a day.
I'd go stage 2 kit, 2.5 exhaust,downpipe, AGP wastegate. obviously you cant do all at once but save up some more. you could sell your stage 2 wastegate and that would probably pay for half of the AGP wastegate.
