And the dealer said......
The service writer called me this morning to remind me the "Free Rental" expires on Sunday, and that I would be paying after that. She also said there was no change in the ETA for the parts and that she would call me again on Monday with any updates.
I needed to hear that at 7:30 in the morning.......

DCX's special 12 month, 15,000 mile warranty covers a rental for 5 days, and will pay up to $1,000 in "trip interruption" money for things like a hotel, meals, etc......Since I was in the local area when the sensor blew off, I don't qualify for any cash......[:@][:'(]
Getting parts from Detroit is just going to take longer than it would from Florida for some reason, even though it's about the same distance away.
Poor Florida, two hits already and another on the way.....
Amanda, they gave me a white PT Cruiser (Touring Edition) for a rental. It's free for 5 days (per the special warranty), after that it comes outta my pocket.
It feels funny driving a car and not having to shift gears!!!

It really shouldn't take any longer... I'm wondering if they are telling you that because they can't get to your car right away. Not that I'm trying to put doubt in your mind... it's just that I know the depot's up here are usually quick to ship.
Wow... that must be WEIRD compared to your SRT-4. Hehehe!!

I talked to the mechanic who checked it over and he told me the same thing that a couple of the guy's here on DF told me about it being a missing grommet and hose, so if they actually had the part they also had the time to put it in.
I think.
I hope.
Yeah, the PT takes a bit of getting used to, I keep the pedal to the metal and make turbo noises with my mouth to remind me of the SRT-4!![sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley5.gif]

Just use a can of compressed air and hit the button every time the tranny shifts.[sm=icon_rofl.gif] Man that has to suck, I'll be finding out what it's like whenever I finally take mine in to get the stuff fixed on it.[:@][&o]
Hopfully they'll have the parts, RR. But at least yours is driveable even with the bugs. I THOUGHT mine was too!!!
