So I've started noticing a very interesting phenomenon with my car...

Every time I decide to step hard on the fun pedal and let the car get angry (aka. I am boosting the crap out of it) my "Parking Brake" light comes on. Right there on the dash, with it's pretty little red bulb... the parking brake obviously isn't on... and the car is pulling like a little 3000 lbs. freight train on a mission to pull the asphalt right off ground below me...

Now for the mod's... Stage 2 with toys, S3 coilovers, sways (front and rear), bigger meats / rims... other goodies too, but nothing to affect the situation...

anyone else have this happen? It doesn't bother me really... just interesting... I suppose if I thought it were problem I'd look in to it... oh, and by the way - it's not all the time... just from time to time when I start rolling (no power launches for me) and hammer it home... like dropping into second and making it angry...

anyway... anyone? anyone? I think this makes 1300 posts... haha

Do a search I think it has been a problem with others too.I believe the solution was to add brake fluid.

 

Low brake fluid will make the brake light come on under quick starts.....my SRT-4 sometimes "chimes" for no reason at all. Maybe she's saying "I'm happy?"

low fluid huh? hmmm... where did it go?? ha-ha... it's a rhetorical question... I don't need an answer...

I like Dusty's answer... it's not angry at me... it's screaming "keep your foot planted and don't hit the other pedal!!!" haha

 

happened to me too.. add brake fluid and it'll stop... trust me it happend to me!
